About Me

Who Am I?

Hi I'm Mücahit Soylu, Since my university years, I have been actively involved in software development. In 2010, I turned my focus towards the professional realm of software and began my career as an academic at İnönü University. Since I started, in addition to my role as an academician, I have independently managed every stage of the automation projects mentioned in the projects section, from server setup to software development, as required by the university. My goal was to combine my academic work with my software development skills, to stand out in the academic world and make a difference in the industry. In line with this goal, I continuously strive to learn and improve myself, working to acquire any knowledge that will contribute to my future projects.

Master’s Thesis

Modeling the Relations between Countries with Graph Theory and Possible Separations

The aim of this study is to examine present-day countries’ economic, political and religious relationships, and also to examine conflicts between these countries by transferring the conflicts to a graph. With the help of the eigenvalues and eigenvectors of the matrix obtained from the graph, the study aims to identify where the graph could be divided. By making use of this division, which is a result of weak ties between countries, the study aims to find out which weak ties should be analyzed in order not for a division to take place.

Doctoral Thesis

Graph Visualization of Cyber Attacks: New Approaches Based on Geometric Deep Learning

The aim of this work is to use geometric deep learning techniques to clearly and accurately analyze complex cyber threat and cyber intelligence data, such as network attacks, and graph visualization techniques for the visualization of this data. This approach aims to provide a better understanding of the data and facilitate decision making based on the insights derived from the analysis.

The Technologies I Actively Use

Jakarta EE technologies that I actively use include Jakarta Servlet, Jakarta Faces (JSF), Enterprise Jakarta Beans (EJB), Jakarta Persistence API (JPA), Jakarta Transaction API (JTA), Jakarta Message Service (JMS), Jakarta Security, Jakarta Mail API, Jakarta RESTful Web Services (JAX RS), Jakarta WebSocket (JAX-WS) and Contexts and Dependency Injection (CDI). In addition, I use PostgreSql as a database. On the server side, I work with Fedora, an open source Linux-based operating system. For the machine learning part of my PhD, I used Julia and Python, and for the graph visualization part, I used JavaScript libraries. For my academic writing, I use Latex. I am constantly improving myself by following updates in these technologies and try to incorporate the best and most up-to-date practices into my projects.
